ACA are hosting an information afternoon at the University of Cambridge to brief staff from schools across East Anglia about the aims and achievements of the Higher Education Field Academy (HEFA). This will start at 2.45pm on Friday 24th February and will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about what we can offer, to ask questions, to meet with our team and also meet with staff from other schools in the eastern region.
We are keen to establish contact with schools unfamiliar with the HEFA programme to ensure they know how it can give their students the experience, enthusiasm and encouragement to apply to top universities, including Oxbridge. This is exactly what HEFA has been doing successfully since 2005, and we are keen this achievement should not falter in these most challenging times for young people, made no easier to navigate by recent changes to University tuition fees and the demise of government programmes such as Aimhigher.
The afternoon will involve a presentation from Dr Carenza Lewis, Director of ACA, followed by refreshments and an informal opportunity to talk to us about getting involved.
