Re-visiting Mount Bures

DSC_3013DSCF0936

Last August, Access Cambridge Archaeology in partnership with the Stour Valley’s HLF project Managing a Masterpiece, ran a two-week community excavation at Mount Bures, on the Essex-Suffolk border. This evening (8th May) at 8pm in the Garrod Room at Bures Community Centre, Dr Carenza Lewis will outline the results of the excavations at the scheduled ancient monument and test-pit digging in gardens of the surrounding village. We look forward to sharing our results with residents of Bures and the Stour Valley, and seeing many of the volunteers and visitors who joined us last summer again.
