To coincide with the start of a new television series presented by Michael Wood, the BBC are hosting events for people to explore their local history, surnames, place names, oral history and archaeology. The event for the East of England is this Sunday, 20th May, from 10am -5pm at the National Trust propertyIckworth House, near Bury St Edmunds. There will be sessions with a panel of experts throughout the day, including Michael Wood and Dr Carenza Lewis, answering questions about local heritage research, and there will be the opportunity to uncover more about your past with stalls and activities in the house and grounds.
