Archaeology & Anthropology March Open Day

The University of Cambridge’s Department of Archaeology & Anthropology is holding its next Open Day for prospective undergraduate students on Monday 11th March 2013.

Archaeologists at Cambridge are experts in a wide range of time periods, from the Palaeolithic to present day, and work in many regions, from the UK and Europe throught he Middle East and Asia to Australia and the Americas. The course includes theory, practice and in-depth study of a regional area or areas. The Archaeology Division also incorporates Assyriology and Egyptology (the study of the languages and cultures of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia).

From 2013, Archaeology, Assyriology and Egyptology are taught within the new Human, Social and Political Sciences Tripos. The HSPS Tripos is a three-year course that allows either a broad-based first year and specialisation in second and third years or significant specialisation from the first year.
