A reminder that bookings are still open for volunteering on the North West Cambridge site with Cambridge Archaeological Unit (CAU). See the poster above and our original post here for more details.

As part of Cambridge University’s Science Festival, CAU will be hosting a Roman Street Party on Saturday 23rd March from 11am – 4pm. Join archaeologists, re-enactors and your neighbours in our Roman street party celebration of the Roman landscape of North West Cambridge. Be the first to hear about the new discoveries found on the site, see the archaeology beneath your feet and feel the artefacts in your hands. Learn how the site was created 2000 years ago and how it was rediscovered this winter. Hands on activities for children and adults alike as well as intellectual challenges for the more discerning party goer! Access to the North West Cambridge Development Site is via a track road off Huntingdon Road opposite Howes Place, which will be signposted.
