Celebrating a Masterpiece

The Managing a Masterpiece team and many of their partners, tutors, community workers and lecturers will be celebrating what has been achieved over the last three years and 4000 volunteer days at the Granary in Sudbury on the early May Bank Holiday, Monday 6th May 2013.

Dr Carenza Lewis will be representing Access Cambridge Archaeology. Archaeological activities account for over half of the volunteer days accumulated by Managing a Masterpiece. ACA have run a series of fieldwalking events, test pit and trench excavations involving community volunteers in the Stour Valley since March 2011, which you can read about on our website here.

There will also be exhibits from the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust, The River Stour Trust, Essex County Council Heritage Building Team and Gainsborough House will be opening the print workshop for free public taster sessions. The exhibition will be open 10am-4pm and visitors are welcome throughout the day. There will be lots to see and do, and plenty of refreshments on offer!
