Visits to FEAG’s Twenty Pence Project – Saturday 13th July

As part of the Festival of Archaeology organised by the Council for British Archaeology, the Fen Edge Archaeology Group is organising visits to the Twenty Pence Site on Saturday, 13th July 2013 between 10am and 4pm. They are currently exploring a Romano-Britiish settlement site just north of Cottenham.

A minibus will pick visitors up from All Saints Church car park in Cottenham and return there about an hour later. Parking is not available for visitors at the site.

If you would like to attend, please email feaginfo@gmail.com with your name, preferred time (morning/afternoon) and telephone number. It would be helpful if you could include the word festival in your subject heading. FEAG will be in contact with the joining instructions nearer the time. Please note that numbers are limited and advance booking is essential.

Please note that this is a rural farm site and the visit involves walking across two fields, so sensible shoes and weather-appropriate clothing will be called for. The farm has dogs who are sometimes interested in the dig.
