Hands on History Day at Wormingford

Hands on History Day
Saturday 27th July 10.30am – 4.30pm

Come and take part in the Wormingford Landmarks Stone Age adventure to find out more about the first settlers of the Stour Valley area.

Stop frame animation workshops, ancient bushcraft skills, flint knapping demonstration, story telling, ancient seed project, filmmaking, art workshops, soundscape composition display, archaeological finds handling including a Stone Age axe, Landmarks project displays, roundhouse building techniques, children’s buried treasure game, refreshments.

The ‘Wormingford landmarks’ projectis a year long Heritage Lottery Fund project which aims to explore a prehistoric site near the River Stour and discover more about the first people to settle in the area thousands of years ago.  The project is supported by Cambridge Community Heritage, a team of researchers from the University of Cambridge helping to develop and run local heritage projects with community groups.
